The new agent Gekko has piqued the interest of VALORANT players since the beginning of March.
Gekko will be the 22nd hero in VALORANT, playing the role of an Initiator, and will join the crew on March 7, with the start of Episode 6 Act 2.

According to the posts, Gekko will possess abilities called Flash, Molly, and two more abilities in which a creature (or say pet) will plant the spike on behalf of its owner, and the ultimate ability will provide a controllable object or creature that will explode on contact.
Indeed, a few days back, John Goscicki, character producer at Riot Games, in an announcement video, gave some hints about this new agent. He said that the Agent 22 will be able to find corners, locate enemies, and plant the spike in new ways.
These hints suggest that the most recent leaks are probably accurate. Notably, Gekko’s ability to plant spikes can give him a special use case and turn into the main justification for players to use him.
How will Gekko’s ability impact gameplay tactics? – Answered
While there are many spectacular Initiators such as Sova, Skye, Breach, etc., Gekko can be a much preferred choice for many. The major point of attraction would be his spike planting ability.
As seen in the leaked images, a creature is there carrying the spike. Most probably, it will plant the spike on behalf of Gekko. It will aid users in clutch situations when only one or two are left in the team and the opponents are still greater in number.
Players using Gekko can contribute to their team by making a strategy like spotting the opponent and taking combat with them. Gekko then can silently go near to a particular plant Site, while hiding himself and use the spike planting ability.
If any enemy comes to detonate the spike, he can use the controllable object that explodes on contact. This way, Gekko can play a vital role for his team.
